Waterways artist Shiam Wilcox lives and works on her narrowboat on the North Oxford Canal.
A painter of birds and botanicals and inspired by folklore and traveller’s tales, her work is created in her narrowboat studio.
"I am fascinated by birds and how they are intrinsically woven into their environment. I use my paintings as an attempt to connect with my ever changing environment as a traveller and to discover forgotten beliefs and stories that are held in these places."
With a background in community arts and teaching, Shiam trades both online via this webstore as well as along the towpaths of the UK’s canals.
